Occupational therapists can help with difficult and defiant behaviors, anxiety and aggression, power struggles, meltdowns i.e. going from 0-100 in seconds, tantrums, sensory and emotional regulation and sibling rivalry.
Speech language pathologists are trained to help with children who are frustrated because it is hard to communicate due to delayed language, unclear speech, weak social and play skills and /or difficulty reading.
Through play, we develop regulation skills, strengthen relationships and makes sense of sensory processing; three pillars in intervention that drives change. We value each child as unique and work from a strength based perspective, partnering with and empowering parents to build positive connections with their child.
